Whew...this was my last internship of the year and SUCH an incredible one to go out on!! I was astounded the whole time how fun and smooth it went!
This internship got off to a crazy start! The morning everyone was supposed to come one of the girls Hannah ended up getting the flu so her mom called to see what our options were...and ended up deciding to have her come in two days after she was over it. Emma was supposed to fly in that night and her flight got cancelled so she had to stay in the Atlanta airport overnight to wait to catch her flight the next morning! Kate lives in town so she just came the next day! It was crazy but after the second day and everyone arrived we got all the bumps smoothed out and it ended up being AMAZING!!!We did 3 incredible shoots as well as went and fed the homeless downtown Nashville with a bunch of my friends! And as always partied hard every night, some nights ice cream social and others having “family dinners” with a bunch of my friends and the interns! It was also amazing how quickly we got everything done during this one it seemed to go by wayyy too fast! But I know these girls got what they need and I can’t wait to see what they do in the future to impact the photography community and the art as a whole! Kate Underwood:
Kate was the oldest one of the group yet got along soooo well with everyone! I didn’t feel the age difference one bit! She was SO fun to be around and has such a great sense of humor from her finger dances in the car when we were rocking out to her stories and guidance about boys. She is first and foremost and increble musical artist! Check out her stuff here! But she is wanting to get into photography as well which surprisingly I see soooo many people do! The two art forms must balance each other well!? She has quite the eye in photography as well as such a great personality that I know she will go so far!! As well as in her music career! Hannah Wang:
Hannah is sooo precious!! She arrived in on Tuesday after our first day...but jumped right in very easily! She didn’t miss a beat! Hannah is very very new in photography but surprised me so much how she flowed in all of it! If she already picked up this much this fast who knows where she will go!! WAAAAY past me I’m sure! She is really calm and even keeled but strong at the same time! I loved the more you get to know her the more she would shine! And quite the personality too!! She was such a perfect addition to the internship and balanced everyone out I LOVE that!! I seriously can’t wait to see all that she does in the photography arena! Emma Leigh Bradshaw:
Emma definitely surprised me so much. The first time I talked to her on the phone was when she was stuck in the airport overnight and nottt to excited about that! She sounded scared and not sure what to do! When she got here the first day we warmed up and then she unleashed!! haha! Probably one of the biggest personalities I’ve ever seen! I think I laughed from start to finish the whole time from her interpretations and descriptions of all my friends to her amazing stories of her home town and family. I don’t think I’ve ever been more entertained by someone! Plus she is an incredible cook and could almost cook anything I’m sure! Besides her incredible eye in photography she puts people at ease too while she’s shooting which is such the key! I know that with all this love that exudes out of her plus her style! During the last internship I wanted to do a shoot that was a lot like an engagement session...well my friend Tiffany came through once again in the beautiful friend area and recommened her friends Lindsey and Dustin! They've been married for a few years now but are just as in love as any other brand new couple! I LOVED being able to shoot them and get to know them! They are precious and had us "awww'ing" the whole time! They could definitely quit their jobs and make millions being models as they are just so cute together! Seriously!? Melissa and Tiffany came back for another shoot for the last internship of the year and they were as hot as ever!! I love that each shoot I've done with them they've brought something completely different to the table! They have such incredible style and personalities that I really could shoot them all the time, I think! haha! This time we decided to stay around my place most of the time and see where we could be creative! Of course we had to bust out feathers at the end! What is a full fashion shoot without them!?

Probably one of my most FAVORITE pics I've ever shot!!! Sooo excited about it!! 
Whew...so this was the LAST internship of the summer and such an amazing time! August was my crazy busiest month of my life with literally something booked every single day, near the end I was tired but so ready for this internship! It was awesome though cause God knew what I needed, it was definitely one of the most chill internships and they were such quick, easy learners that it made my job very simple! We had such fun times with TONS of photo-shoots... even one the day before the internship started...out in the woods. Documenting Franktown Open Hearts, a ministry for young inner city boys. And several other model shoots and couple shoots! Of course we had to get the Nashville vibe though and go concert hopping to my friends: Adam Agin and Ben Schofield’s shows...both UNREAL artists!! 
Of course good conversation all around and times of uncontrollable laughter... but through it all such great friendships were built! I love these girls soooo much! Check out the ***SLIDESHOW*** of the time and more on the girls down below!
Beth Henze
Beth definitely wins the award for the farthest traveled to the internship....coming allllllll the way from Japan she gets the highest award! Originally from the midwest but now over there for her husbands job she brought so many stories and culture things to the internship that I LOVED! I want to go there sooooo bad! She is incredibly sweet and offered to cook for us whenever needed. She’d always be up at the crack of dawn and when I woke up she’d be dressed and ready to work out which motivated me SO much! Her discipline definitely started to rub off on everyone! I’m SO excited for her new business! I know she is going to thrive in it because of her motivation!!
Jill Devries
I started following Jill’s twitter awhile ago when I found out that she was interning and I knew immediately we would hit it off! She would post different times about concerts she was going to see and of course they were all my favorite too! So when she came I immediately told her that she MUST move to Nashville cause everything about her was so the Ville. The awesome thing about her style is that she really draws other people like that to her even her clients! She’s shot some of the coolest looking weddings that I’m crazy jealous of! ha! Anyways...she is such an amazing person who super down to earth and connects with people really easily which I know is going to take her soooo far in her business and it looks like it already has!
Kelsey McGinley
Kelsey, another fellow Chicagoan found me through a bunch of my friends up in the city and decided that she wanted to be a part of the program too! THANKFULLY because she is incredible and such a wonderful photographer! It was awesome to catch up on old friends and joke about crazy happenings...I can’t believe we hadn’t met before! Kelsey realllllly started coming out near the end of the internship and is seriously hilarious! From the music video that her and I made to jumping in the pool late one night with all our clothes on. She’s the life of the party! ha! I know that her fun personality and awesome eye in photography will make her career soooo much fun and colorful!!! :) Check out her incredible new blog **HERE**
This past weekend I headed out to Sacramento to shoot Amanda and Robert's UHHHHMAZING wedding! I was seriously blown away by everything! First off...the two of them are amazing and make you feel like another part of the family... they are so welcoming and down to earth! Amanda even let me use her car the entire time I was there...so sweet! The love that these two have for each other is wonderful to see too! Once getting away from all the craziness near the end of the day and doing some pics of just the two of them...the way that they would look at each other just made you melt! :) I'm so excited for their future together!
The second thing that made this time amazing was the family! I'm friends with Amanda's brother Aaron as he is a tech for my cousin's band and we've toured together but I had never met his family...and wow. They were precious! Having 5 kids and home businesses plus big age differences in the kids made me feel right at home! The two youngest even wanted to hang out with Cassidy and I after the wedding! Too cute! At the reception the whole family even did a song for Amanda: "So long farewell" from Sound of Music! Hilarious!!!!
3rd awesome thing from the wedding: the LOCATION! Ohhh my goodness! Cassidy and I were litterally screaming most of the time on the way to the place as the pear ochards and rivers were overwhelmingly beautiful...but once we drove up I almost had to stop the car cause I thought I was going to run into something out of excitement! It was the Grand Island Mansion and I definitely could of shot there the rest of my life...or at least for the next week....;) hahah! Amazing! Wellllll enough of the talk! The last internship we did a model photoshoot of my BEAUTIFUL friends Melissa and Tiffany! We had actually shot Tiffany for the previous internship and she offered to do it again this time with her sister! She's incredible!! These two have some of the best style and I seriously want everything in their wardrobe! It's ridiculous. They had so many outfits to choose from that we had to save some for next time! Ahhh a photographers dream! Check out their hotness!!
